Pienoisrautatiekerho ry. – the oldest model railway club in Finland – was formed in 1951. The club has around one hundred members. The club has a club room for layout, archive and well equipped workshop with machine tools. The members of the club mostly build rolling stock based on Finnish prototypes. All models are scratch or kit built as no commercial ready-to-run models exists. To aid model building The club members use sophisticated production methods, such as as resin casting and photo etching. The club also provides lost wax parts to members of the club.
